SCHÖNE AUSLÄNDERKINDER | BEAUTIFUL IMMIGRANT CHILDREN

WITH TOXISCHE POMMES, SALWA HOUMSI, LANA LUX, BARBI MARKOVIĆ, MOLOCH&NADIYA

An evening with films, texts and music about (post-)migrant living environments that are often overlooked in the german political debate.

The evening programme SCHÖNE AUSLÄNDERKINDER | BEAUTIFUL IMMIGRANT CHILDREN poses questions that often get lost in the political debate about migration. With humour, whimsical magic, compassion and subtle observation, all spiced up with Ukrainian and Belarusian sounds, our guests talk about (post-)migrant life worlds - about the feeling of being out of place, about loneliness and the experience of closeness and distance, about war, about family relationships, about home and foreignness.

The programme presents new publications by authors and filmmakers who live in two countries and at least two worlds: Germany and Ukraine, Austria and Serbia, Austria and Montenegro, Finland and Kosovo. They will talk about whether there is such a thing as a post-migrant attitude to life and what it costs to build a new life.
