What happens when Syrian dancers, who performed in their home country in folklore and ballet dance shows, meet the contemporary German dance scene? Can a person overcome the history of his body and start a new journey?
TOTAL BRUTAL shows the process of bringing refugees closer to the local dance scene. The project focuses on the physical hurdles of their everyday life, their mental change processes and new encounters in the big city.
COME AS YOU ARE #2017 is the physical and theatrical exploration of three performers whose dance background is radically different from the Berlin scene, but who have now arrived in this city and are trying to find their way around it. Her new impressions of the local cultural scene, new love stories, hopes and daily experiences, which could quickly become nightmares, flow into the play.
