Patricia Carolin Mai is looking for people interested in dance on the stage for her new dance piece RAUSCH with rehearsals and performances in the period from 9 - 21 October 2023 at LOFFT - DAS THEATER Leipzig.

Choreographer Patricia Carolin Mai is looking for people interested in dance, with or without dance training, from all generations, from the most diverse life and work contexts, for her new dance production RAUSCH, which premiered in Hamburg in June 2023. People who bring themselves and their desire to move their bodies in dance, whether with or without limitations.

For the Hamburg RAUSCH premiere, 100 people will gather on Kampnagel's stage in June 2023. For the LOFFT stage, we would like to develop an adaptation with people from Hamburg and newcomers from Leipzig. RAUSCH will be a long-term performance in Leipzig: it starts in the evening and invites the audience to spend the night with us in the theatre, on the stage and in the foyer, to witness a supposed RAUSCH in peace and contrary to its clichés. Are you up for it? RAUSCH is about human choices to be in a large group and to share movement and dance in it.

RAUSCH asks:
- What feelings arise when as many people as possible share and occupy a common space? Will it necessarily be loud just because they are many?
- Does it necessarily have to be a collective event? Maybe just the opposite will emerge: silence, isolation, enough space for unpredictable group developments.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Participation is free of charge | Obligatory participation in all rehearsals and performances is a prerequisite | Each participant receives intensive physical and dance training throughout the entire period as well as the opportunity to take part in a professional stage production.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
In the first week from Monday, 09.10.2023 to Sunday, 15.10.2023 we will form different rehearsal groups so that everyone gets enough space and attention to get into the work. From 16.10.2023 we will then all rehearse together.

WHERE DO THE REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES TAKE PLACE?
All rehearsals and performances will take place at LOFFT - DAS THEATER Leipzig Spinnereistraße 7, 04179 Leipzig.

Please include your name, age and phone number, as well as which group you would like to participate in (If you can imagine both groups, please write to us, because there are only a limited number of places per group due to the size of the rehearsal room. Therefore we have to try to divide the groups as evenly as possible).

We will get back to you by e-mail with a confirmation of participation and the group assignment after the 10th of July 2023 by e-mail. We would be very happy if you would join us!
