EURO-SCENE LEIPZIG: DANCE AND THEATRE IMPROVISATION – FRENCH-GERMAN WORKSHOP

What role does our identity play in dealing with artistic movement? How do we improvise with partners who do not speak the same language? Participants will explore stage presence, individuality, the relationship to the group and the body as a means of expression and encounter in an approach that is poetic, sensory and political. The starting point for this will be exercises from theater and movement improvisation, enabling participants to find a common language for experimenting together and developing new ideas.

The artistic exercises will alternate with visits to performances at the euroscene dance and theatre festival. At the end of the week, there will be a public presentation as part of the festival.

The workshop is aimed at performing artists from Germany and France. Registration is open to young professional artists (up to 35 years of age) or those who are on their way to becoming professionals (up to 30 years of age).

Language: The work units will be translated into German and French.
Cost: 350 euros (accommodation with half board) / 250 euros (without accommodation). Travel expenses will be reimbursed on a pro rata basis.
