BECOME A PART OF „DANCING WITH OUR NEIGHBOURS“ BY GOB SQUAD!

We, Gob Squad, are an internationally known theatre collective based in Berlin. We invite people from Leipzig and the surrounding area to a special dance* and storytelling workshop.
*When we say “dance”, we don’t mean classical stage dance. We believe: Everyone can move – the most important thing is that it brings joy!
In this workshop, we will explore together how personal stories and movement can be combined. For us, the workshop is part of the preparation for our new performance DANCING WITH OUR NEIGHBOURS, which will be shown as part of the 12th Festival Politik im Freien Theater in Leipzig.
For you, it is an opportunity to try something new and contribute creatively! The 12th Festival Politik im Freien Theater will take place from October 16 to 25, 2025, with the subject “Borders” in Leipzig.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Everyone from 18 to 120 years old who wants to be seen and heard and is open to meeting others.

No experience in dancing or performing is required!
Participation is free of charge.
We welcome a wide variety of languages and abilities.

AND AFTER THE WORKSHOP?
4–6 participants will have the opportunity to become directly involved in the rehearsals and performance! All others are warmly invited to take on a special role in the performance if they wish. The performances of DANCING WITH OUR NEIGHBOURS will take place on October 16 and 17, 2025.
If you register, you should basically be interested in participating in the performance and be able to set aside time for rehearsals between October 10 and 16, 2025. We will coordinate the exact rehearsal dates together.
