OPEN CALL: KATAPULT – Performance Platform Leipzig

For the fourth time, LOFFT – DAS THEATER, Residenz Schauspiel Leipzig, and Schaubühne Lindenfels are jointly organizing KATAPULT – Performance Platform Leipzig for the fourth time in the 2026/27 season. KATAPULT supports experimental artistic projects that explore innovative forms of performance.

Support is available for artists in Leipzig with performance-based projects. The works created as part of KATAPULT will be presented in a joint festival program from June 23 to 27, 2027. Applications are now being accepted.

KATAPULT supports new production projects that explore innovative forms of theatrical performance addressing socially relevant topics. In addition to a rehearsal residency lasting several weeks, selected projects receive, among other things, co-funding of 5.000 euros as well as dramaturgical and organizational-technical support. The call for proposals is open to artists and independent groups based in Leipzig. KATAPULT expressly encourages artists to experiment with new working methods and formats that expand or deepen their existing performance practice.

The application deadline is May 6, 2026.
